A Multinational Fragrances Organisation chooses high-performance floor solutions from Stonhard
Following considerable growth and refurbishment made possible by a 10-million-euro investment, a multinational Fragrances organisation recently unveiled its latest plant in Granollers (Barcelona). This cutting-edge facility represents a big step forward, allowing for a fourfold increase in production capacity.
The company has been a prominent player in the fragrance market for over four decades, manufacturing perfume oils for varied industries such as premium fragrances, personal care, home care, and environmental care goods. The newly built facilities serve as a one-stop shop for production, blending, packing, quality control and shipping operations.
A renowned architect, who has worked with this multinational for over 30 years, supervised the structure's total overhaul, injecting it with cutting-edge modern architectural aspects.
The building, which spans 7,000m2, incorporates our Stonclad UR/HT4 system into production zones, warehouses and R&D laboratories. The client requested resilient flooring that was both low-maintenance and long-lasting.
The office areas and meeting rooms have been installed with the Stonshield SLT system. This installation is intended to provide not only an attractive floor but also a seamless connection with the architect's design ethos.
In addition, the client requested customised high-performance solutions for each specialty sector inside their facilities. Their prior flooring had recurring difficulties and could not tolerate the broad array of chemicals utilised on-site. We methodically removed numerous layers of epoxy coating from the original floor using a mechanical milling machine.
We suggested tailored solutions to meet specific objectives, emphasising durability, cleanliness, aesthetics and compliance with legislation. Meeting the client's requirement for long-lasting, easy-to-maintain flooring without sacrificing its visual attractiveness and style was a key challenge in the project's successful execution.
